Photoshoot Inclusivity Guide

Carrying on from my post about accessibility, let’s now talk about inclusivity! People come in all shapes and sizes and every person deserves to have an experience where they feel excellent about themselves!

And everyone deserves to have that experience in a place they feel safe, and accepted, and I aim to offer that!

Non-gendered language
I always try to use non-gendered language on social media, in my marketing and promotions, as well as in the studio. There’ll be an option on my shoot questionnaire to offer your pronouns if you wish. However not everyone can be safely out, so it’s always better to be safe than sorry!

If there’s a particular type of language you prefer to be used when referring to yourself please don’t hesitate to let me know!

Choose your posing style
I offer three choices for posing styles, I can pose you traditionally masculine, feminine, or a mix of the two. No matter your gender expression, outfit, or presentation, I’ll pose you however you feel comfortable.

There’s a lot that can be done to shape the body through posing so being able to choose a mix you feel best with has a fantastic affect on your confidence!

A safe space to explore your gender
A boudoir photoshoot can be a fantastic way to feel more at home in your body, and explore its relationship to you and your body. Getting in touch with our more sensual side can open you up to be more accepting of it and yourself.

Want to play with styles that don’t match your current expression? That’s A okay, you’re safe to do so here without judgement, you do you!

Non-monogamous? No problem!
Rather than offer “couples shoots” I’m instead offering group shoots for 2-4 people, whatever your relationship style! Unfortunately I can’t shoot more than 4 people at a time so it might not fit the whole polycule 😉

This is of course welcome to be booked by besties and monogamous couples alike but I wanted to make sure there was space for polyamorous folks here too!

Cultural sensitivity
Do you veil and need a safe space to change? Or would you rather a quiet slot in the studio, or need a female only space? Just let me know and I can make those adjustments for you!

If there are any other adjustments that I can make for cultural or religious differences you’re welcome to say so. And I only ever share client photos on social media with your permission, you can opt out at any time

EveryBODY welcome
I hear all too often people that would love a boudoir shoot but they want to wait till they’ve lost weight, or are more toned, or they’re embarrassed, think they’re too old, etc.

I’ve heard every excuse under the sun and I always have the same answer: Your body does not define your worth. You might not love your body and that’s okay! But if you think a photoshoot could help you, no matter your relationship with your body, I say it’s worth the risk!

Whatever your needs please know that I will do my absolute best to accommodate you. A photoshoot is a luxury but not one anyone should feel excluded from. This is a safe space for you!
